The Srishti Gandhar-Pancham tun concert model sitar is made of select Indian mahogany and carved in the traditional design as used by Ustad Vilayat Khan and others, a very popular design known for a distinct clear tone and use in traditional and light Indian classical music.

Faux mother of pearl  inlay and single color penwork up top, done by expert craftmen with a sound and finish equal to or better many other Calcutta sitars of this style.

The jawari is closed and professionally done with 2 slots for the MA (1st) string and optional extra slot for the SA (2nd) at your request. The string layout is Vilayat Khan gandhar pancham style. All frets finely tuned and fitted in India and double checked at our shop before shipping!  Meend (bending) of 5 to 6 notes is easily accomplished.

A quality fiberglass case comes standard with our sitars from Srishti Musical. Colors will vary on in stock sitars. This sitar comes with a accessory set of spare generic strings, 3 mizrabs, fret thread and a tarab string hook.

All Srishti sitars are monitored during the construction process and fine-tuned by expert musicians in India before being air-shipped to our shop. Once at our shop they are played by us for an additional several hours before being offered for sale.  Please email or call with any questions!
