is hand made and is unique, and may differ slightly from these pictures due
to the creative mind of the artisan who constructs it.

The Srishti
Sindh concert model sitar is made of the finest
available tun wood and carved in
a most novel and intricate styling reminiscent of older north
Indian styles, thus the name "Sindh." Sindh is an area in
Northern India that is known for it's rich cultural traditions and
complex artistry. We
are very pleased to offer the distinct styling and detail on the Sindh tun sitar.

The Sindh sitar by Srishti has very
generous and intricate penwork
in multiple colors
and very complex beautiful carving around a central intricate theme, previously
unseen outside of India! |

Nicely carved Rosewood pegs, carefully
fitted and chalked with Deer Horn center pieces and Deer Horn tuning beads.
The peg arrangement is not unlike Sarode peg layout |

The very stylish top tumba is equally as decorated
as the gullu or back of the main bottom gourd of the sitar, and perfectly fitted to the sitar.
In addition to the full carving on the top, wait to you see the
beautiful carving on the bottom of the top gourd! All our top sitars
have only natural gourds for the top. |

The jawari is open and
professionally done. The
string layout is Ravi Shankar Kharaj Pancham style. All frets finely
tuned and fitted in India and double checked at our shop before
shipping! Meend (bending) of 5 to 6 notes is easily accomplished. And
yes, it sounds as good as it looks! |

A leatherette case comes
standard with the Srishti Sindh Sitar. Also, the Srishti Sindh
sitar comes with an
accessory kit that
includes a book of your choice,
a generic set of strings, a fabric cover, fret thread, an oil box, a
taraf string hook, 3 mizrabs. |

All Srishti sitars are monitored during
the entire building process and fine-tuned by expert musicians in India
before being air-shipped to our shop. Once at our shop they are played by us
for an additional several hours before being offered for sale. We believe
these to be the finest new sitars available and want you to be completely
satisfied with your instrument!!
